How could I forget?

Today is the opening of the Hunger Games!
Finallllllly.

I'm going to see it in T minus: 1 hour and 31 minutes.
EEK!

I know the books have been out for quite some time, but in small town U.S.A., we don't always get to hear about the up and coming books, etc. Well, I finally got my hands on the books and I instantly loved them. Suzanne Collins is a fantastic writer. Hopefully, the movie follows the book well.

I swear, if this is another Twilight book to movie fiasco I'm going to be completely peeved.

At least Kristen Stewart is nowhere near this movie. So it can't be too terribly bad.

Anyway, going to the North Platte movies with Jenny and the kids while the ol' ball and chain watches the little man. I'm not too sure how he would do in the movie theater. Plus, he's been just a tad bit ornery today. Even though you couldn't tell it by the logs he's snoring and the angelic look on his sleepy little face right now.

What a trickster.

More than ready to get out of the room and see this movie! I wish I could have gotten the Hunger Games bracelet I wanted...complete with little bow and arrow and "Peeta's pearl", but I'm trying to pinch pennies right now.
Maybe I'll have one by the time the second movie comes out. We shall see.

In other news, trying to find some DIY projects to do this week.
So far I've been combing pinterest all morning and found quite a few! SUCH AS:

1. Bangle/Ribbon bracelets
2. Upcycling Candles
3. Uses for old rakes and cowboy boots

If only I was at home to do all of these projects....but dag nabbit I'm going to try anyway!

Well, I'd say it's hi time to start getting ready for the movies! Don't worry, I'll let you know how it all went, invisible readers!

Until inspiration strikes....and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Introduction of Myself.

Well, hello there.

First things first...I doubt anyone will even read this blog, but I thought I might as well start a blog so I can get all these thoughts out of my head and not be judged by the people I know best. *Cough*Facebook*Cough*

Anyway...my name's Katie. I'm married to a great guy (even with the occasional man PMS) and we have the cutest baby in the whole wide world. No, really. We took a vote. He's almost 6 months old and already a smart alec and a comedian. (As you will soon find out, invisible audience.)

I'm from a very, very small town in Kansas, but am currently traveling the states with my husband and aforementioned adorable child.

I'm currently a SAHM and am trying to find all kinds of DIY projects to fill up the time when little man is asleep and the ol' ball and chain is at work. I am also a Scentsy Consultant...so if you need any flameless candles you know where to go! ;]

Well, I'd say that's all for now. Grey's anatomy reruns are on, and I'm currently out of things to write about.

Until inspiration strikes! -The End
